The thunderous Boston power trio Mutoid Man includes heavyweights like Cave In frontman Steven Brodsky and Converge drummer Ben Koller in its ranks. They’re coming back this summer with the new album War Moans, which features appearances, somehow, from both Chelsea Wolfe and former Megadeth guitarist/Japanese TV star Marty Friedman. First single “Melt Your Mind” is a two-minute burner that hits with a simplicity that reminds me of Motörhead, even if Brodsky sounds nothing like Lemmy. Listen to it below.
