YG has a new mixtape called Just Re’d Up 3: Know Your Worth on the way, and he shared its first single “Pop It, Shake It” last week, teaming up with old collaborator DJ Mustard in the process. In the new video for the song, Director X, one of the all-time great rap-video auteurs, films YG and Mustard at some rowdy mass gatherings in Trinidad. This is very much a butt-centric video, but it also has that “Big Pimpin'” thing where, because it takes place somewhere we don’t often see in music videos, it feels like it has a fresh new energy working for it.
