Decades ago, Cleveland hardcore legends Integrity perfected their own dark, intense, brutalist, metal-influenced take on the genre. Since then, they’ve become one of hardcore’s most influential bands, and they’re still at it. The band has joined the Relapse roster, and this summer, they’ll release the excellently titled new album Howling, For The Nightmare Shall Consume. Frontman Dwid Hellion directed the video for the stark, rumbling single “I Am The Spell,” which is mostly scratchy black-and-white footage of the band playing. (He also did the album’s badass cover art, as you can see above.) Check it out below.
Howling, For The Nightmare Shall Consume is out 7/14 on Relapse.
