Stream Jeff Tweedy Together At Last

Over the years, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has occasionally gone on solo tours, performing songs from his catalog on acoustic guitar. Together At Last, Tweedy’s new solo LP out today, recreates that experience in the album format. The album finds Tweedy stripping down nine Wilco songs plus one each from his side projects Loose Fur and Golden Smog, each one rendered as a tender, intimate ballad. And although I expected it to be somewhat of inessential exercise for superfans only, this morning each of these new versions is sounding spectacular. They will remind you of each song’s original greatness even as they achieve a piercing beauty all their own. Stream the full album below, though note that on Spotify it’s only available to premium users.

Together At Last is out now on dBpm. And speaking of revisiting Wilco’s past, the band will perform Being There in its entirety at their Solid Sound festival tonight in North Adams, Mass.
