Poppy Ackroyd is a classically trained musician from London who creates stunningly beautiful electroacoustic compositions out of little more than one piano and one violin. Her work has won acclaim from the likes of Nils Frahm and Hauschka, and on Friday, she’s releasing a new mini-album called Sketches, a solo piano collection that reworks some of her past pieces alongside several new songs from an upcoming full-length to arrive in the fall. Today, The Line Of Best Fit premiered a staggering lovely five-minute piano meditation called “Time,” and you can (and should) hear it below.
Sketches is out 7/14 via One Little Indian. Pre-order it here.
