Early next year, the Ann Arbor producer Dabrye will release his new album Three/Three, and it’ll feature guest appearances from an impressive array of rappers, including Ghostface Killah, DOOM, Jonwayne, and Guilty Simpson. But the most impressive lineup appears on the song “The Appetite,” which features verses from hard-muttering Long Island auteur Roc Marciano, Detroit rapper/producer Quelle Chris, and, in an electric moment, a euphorically yelpy Danny Brown. The three of them team up to drop elbows all over Dabrye’s off-kilter synth-twinkle, which sounds like the music that runs through the head of a Sega Genesis while it’s dreaming. Listen to it below.
