Weezer and The Simpsons: Both still going! And this weekend, they’ll go together. Because on this Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons, “The Hateful Eight Year-Olds,” Weezer will play Sailor’s Delight, the house band on a romantic cruise that Homer and Marge are on. They’ll play songs from The Black Album and Pacific Daydream — and they’ll also debut a brand new one.

Weezer’s upcoming album Van Weezer, produced by Suzy Shinn and reportedly inspired by heavy metal, was supposed to be out next week. Like many other albums, it’s been delayed. But we’ve already heard two tracks from it, “The End Of The Game” and “Hero,” and during their guest spot on The Simpsons, Weezer will debut another called “Blue Dream.”
