Bartees Strange had a banner year last year between the release of his debut album, Live Forever, and his EP of reinterpreted National covers. He dipped back into covers mode for a recent live session for SiriusXMU with a new cover of Bon Iver’s For Emma, Forever Ago classic “Skinny Love.” Strange’s voice, of course, sounds fantastic on it and while he plays it pretty by-the-book with his version, it’s still great.
