Tim Burton goes with the literal in his direction of this Killers clip, placing skin-stripping lovers on a beach, inviting a bone-on-bone swim, with sword-wielding skeletons straight outta 1963 (see Jason And The Argonauts). We dig the goofy-spooky drive-in movie vibe (“Paging Mr. Herman!”) — and rocker skeletons always remind us of “Touch Of Grey” — but ultimately we expected more from Famous Post-Mortemer. The video ends with The Killers dropping dead (music to your eyes, we’re sure), but after all the backhanding, we just wanna say that they sounded a bajillion times better on Letterman last night than they did on SNL. Brandon actually hit some notes!
