Trent Reznor and David Lynch

Nine Inch Nails made their triumphant return last month with “Came Back Haunted,” a throwback to their signature industrial-pop for their new album Hesitation Marks. David Lynch was enlisted to direct the clip and he delivered something akin to his shorts and the large non-sequitur parts of the narrative that happen in almost every one of his feature films. Watch the video below, but it has been marked to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy, so please do right by yourself.

Hesitation Marks is out 9/3 via Columbia.

  1. WTF, David Lynch? Weird ass, creepy fucking video. I want to watch it again to see if I can make more sense of any of it, but I’m afraid my brain might start leaking out my ear holes.

  2. I felt that it was cheesy and a little patronizing. Of course, I’m writing this after I finished my final and I’m in “over analyzing” mode.

  3. GUYS! Sometimes professionals say; “If you are not growing, you are dead….”
This is true to real music. All professional and mature musicians change their conceptual aspect and taste when they release new album everytime. NIN is one of them. A very profound and complex music. NIN’s new album will also be very different than previous records. So we don’t need to compare it with ex-records. And observe the new conceptual aspects instead. NIN is one of the greatest experimentalist in the music industry…as it brings something new to the table which will be case with HESITATION MARKS…

  4. The video “Come Back Haunted” is experimental and very complex. Its not for normal person to understand it like their music. More singles are coming from the new album Hesitation Marks.
