Off of the upcoming Serge Gainsbourg English-language cover album, Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited, we’ve got a pretty hot cover of the legendarily Pope-banned “Je taime…moi non plus” by Cat Power and Karen Elson, Jack White’s supermodel wife. It loses something in English, but, come on- is there anything Chan can’t sex up? (Related: any updates on why she canceled her tour?)
Anyway, the whole album features Franz Ferdinand, The Kills, Tricky, Jarvis Cocker, Portishead, and Michael Stipe, and it’s out Monday.

Actually, junkies tend to stay a bit meatier or bloat up, despite this “heroin chic” myth. Heroin slows down your metabolism.
Ok… yea.. great… Cat Power… whatever. Isn’t the more important track to be leaking from this album the Portishead one? I mean.. no album since PNYC in 1998… (pretty please with appropriate cherries on top)
