Lykke Li is fast becoming the queen of the live video, or at least the queen of the live video that features her restlessly singing her songs while joined by other indie famous people and/or people in a watercloset. The latest installment of Lykke’s uploads to her YouTube account features a hang session with Justin Vernon and his Bon Iver buddies seated, singing, and strumming guitars along while Li “Dance Dance Dance”s at a fountain in Los Angeles. Guess what? Sweet harmonies.

And don’t forget, Lykke + Heidi Klum = a smoother, lighter bra.

  10. This is why I love YouTube. Great stuff.

It seems Rock/Indie has finally understood that collaboration causes much more creativity than trying to make music in a vacuum. I get the feeling now that Indie musicians mingle amongst each other much more (be it in Brooklyn, Portland, Montreal, or the internet) and they certainly mesh into their music several different musical genres.

The music of the whole world now enters Indie music. There’s little distinction between rock, pop, soul, hip-hop, folk, blues, gypsy, Afro-pop, etc. 5 years ago I thought the music was dead. However, now I believe this new eclectic infusion has saved Rock n’ Roll.

Or maybe I’m just full of shit…
