Chris Rock Doing Bonnaroo's What? Stage

The hippie jokes are gonna be just a little more original this year! Bonnaroo announces Chris Rock will do a one-hour set of material on the fest's main stage, likely tackling politics, in-case-shit, and dirty twirling kids for one of the largest audiences ever to assemble and be openly mocked to their faces. Too bad it won't be in the comedy tent, but that's gonna be plenty fun this year, anyway. It features Zach Galifianakis, Janeane Garofalo, Mike Birbiglia Jim Norton, Brian Posehn, and "Late Time Chat About": a nighttime live talk show featuring skits, guests, and houseband, hosted by David Cross. Stereogum's drinking game suggestion: Take a shot every time a comic mentions Jack Johnson. You will be wasted.

Coyne In The Bubble

The Flaming Lips UFO spectacular at Bonnaroo was a fest highlight, as always. And though the 'Roo is long gone, we didn't get to share this bit of serendipitous videography ... and it really is a must-watch. For those who've...  CONTINUE READING COYNE IN THE BUBBLE»

Bonnaroo: Sunday 6/17/07: Wilco & The White Stripes Raze The Stages

While Saturday's lineup was the most set-hopper friendly, Sunday's spread offered two trump cards with eagerly anticipated sets from Wilco and the first post-Icky US show from the White Stripes. Bonnaroo: Saturday 6/16/07

If Friday's 'Roo music trolling left something to be desired, Saturday's lineup was more than just compensation. "Roxanne" 2007: A Jazz Odyssey

So, we broke even. Transposed down to suit Sting's vocal cords, spaced out for the benefit of the young, drug-loving generation next, The Police celebrated the 30th anniversary of "Roxanne" by playing "Roxanne."
