Two years ago, with his self-titled debut, SBTRKT established a serrated, architecturally precise sound that existed somewhere at the intersection of dance, pop, and R&B, and that style has a lot to do with the respective cutting edges of all three genres right now. But other than the occasional one-off track or remix, we haven’t heard too much from the masked London producer lately. Today, he posted something he’s called “further audio and video experiments” — a short but deeply pretty instrumental, with abstract CGI images from Lorenzo Durantini and anonymous designer A Hidden Place. Check it out below.
Hopefully, this is a sign that there’s more SBTRKT music on the way.
