The latest single from Future’s Honest, which finally has a release date and tracklist, is another crusher. “Covered N Money” is right in Future’s wheelhouse yet sounds like nothing else he’s done, an ominous robo-thwomp courtesy of “Racks”/”Same Damn Time” producer Sonny Digital built around gurgling bass pads and manically skittering electronic drums. Future did say his new album would be “more aggressive,” and considering the inclusion of this song and “Move That Dope” and the absence of “Real And True,” it appears he wasn’t kidding.
