Looff Carousel, which sits in East Providence's Crescent Park, was built in 1895, and it's a beautiful piece of machinery. And to raise money for its upkeep, Shorebird is putting together a crowdfunded multimedia initiative called Project Carousel, which includes a collection of music. In that collection, you'll find a 7" of unreleased Townes Van Zandt covers from the late Jason Molina, as well as exclusive and otherwise-unavailable music from Volcano Choir and Sun Kil Moon main man Mark Kozelek.
