Beck stopped by The Colbert Report last night, and in addition to performing "The Heart Is A Drum" and "Heaven's Ladder," he also sat down for an interview. Beck described his new album as "a little quiet, a little bit slow, good for massages and aromatherapy," while Colbert asked the question that everyone wants to know the answer to: "Why Beck sad? Is Beck sad?" Beck's answer? "I just need a hug." And so they embraced, in a moment that I'm sure will be turned into a GIF soon enough. Watch the interview and performances below.
