Dirty Dishes – “Guilty”

Last month we shared “Red Roulette,” a lumbering scorcher from LA shoegazers Dirty Dishes. Now comes the title track from their new LP. “Guilty” is more spacious than Dirty Dishes’ previous single, often letting the bass and high-end guitar parts function like a crisp pattern on a white background. But they still find room for massive washes of guitar noise here and there, and they gorgeously accent the spiky, snarky chorus and its mantra, “I did it!” (They’re guilty as charged, you see? But more in a grunge way than a Dave Matthews way.) Listen below.
