Cannibal Ox – “Harlem Knights”

A decade and a half after putting out their celebrated debut album, The Cold Vein, subterranean hip-hop duo Cannibal Ox will drop their second LP, Blade Of The Ronin, on March 3. Lead single “Iron Rose” was a forceful, thumping track complete with a brief but notable appearance by MF Doom. Now, we have “Harlem Knights,” a slightly more low-key second look at the album that connects the new material to the duo’s underground roots. Amid a jungle-stomping rhythm and cosmic tones (courtesy of producer Bill Cosmiq), Vast Aire and Vordul Mega narrate their way through their home neighborhood in gritty totality. Listen below.

Blade Of The Ronin is out 3/3 on IGC Records/iHipHop Distribution. Pre-order it here.
