In yesterday's roundup of just the funny parts of SNL's blockbuster (ratings-wise) 2008 premiere Saturday night, I neglected to mention one very important funny part: Fred Armisen as Nicholas Fehn the political comedian on Weekend Update:

Here Armisen breaks a cardinal, set-in-stone SNL rule by being a guest of Weekend Update who is actually funny. His Fehn character reminds me a little of comedian Andy Daly, in an homage-y type way. It seems like if you enjoyed the Norm MacDonald set of the Bob Saget roast, you'll like this too.
