At Saturday's National Conference On Media Reform, a gross producer from The O'Reilly Factor named Porter Barry got a taste of why Bill Moyers is widely known to be, despite his own self-description, a classy guy. When Barry attempted to ambush Moyers with a Factor camera crew (apparently not for the first time) to ask him why he wouldn't go on O'Reilly's show, Moyers turned the tables on him with his trademark charm, asking why O'Reilly and Rupert Murdoch haven't accepted invitations to go on his own show, Bill Moyers Journal. Moyers kept "complimenting" the guy, saying he respected "real reporters and producers, not anchors," and after a few minutes of banging his slimy head up against Moyers gravitas, Barry runs away.

As Barry slinked away, presumably to sob quietly in his hotel room, he was followed by other journalists, who baited him with questions about his failed ambush. "Do you consider yourself a journalist?" "Mr. Moyers just called me one!" Alas, Porter Barry, you have been beaten by a pro. Bill Moyers is awesome.
