Back in March, we heard the first single off of L.A.-based producer Nosaj Thing’s forthcoming LP Fated. The downtempo “Cold Stares” features Chance the Rapper and his masterful, LOTR-inspired opening line, “Silence is solemn, Smeagol to Gollum.” Today, Nosaj Thing debuted a second premature taste of Fated, the more uptempo but decidedly glum “Don’t Mind Me.” It features the whispered, crooning vocals of Whoarei, an artist who boasts production credit on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly. He’s also signed to Nosaj Thing’s label Timetable, which will co-release the producer’s new album alongside Innovative Leisure early next month. Listen to “Don’t Mind Me” below.
