Cherry Glazerr – “Sip ‘O Poison”

The second installation of Adult Swim's 2015 Singles Series is one from noise-pop trio Cherry Glazerr called "Sip 'O Poison." Clearly drawing influence from Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna and Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker, lead singer and guitarist Clementine Creevy's vocals rip through this one minute and thirty-second lo-fi jam. Creevy (aka Clembutt) isn't even 20 years old, therefore earning the title of "the Tavi Gevinson of garage rock" from me. I hope to see another full-length from Cherry Glazerr soon. This track just isn't long enough and I can only hit repeat so many times before feeling guilty. Listen.
