Arca recently announced his second full-length, Mutant, but the shadowy Venezuelan producer already has another project in the works. Earlier this year, Arca made a short mix of new music to soundtrack a fashion show by clothing label Hood By Air, and now, as Dazed reports, he’s teaming up with Hood By Air boss Shayne Oliver under the name Wench. They’re working on a whole album together, but for now, they’ve shared some of their music in a mesmerizing 15-minute video of buildings and bridges collapsing directed by frequent Arca collaborator Jesse Kanda, which will be projected at the Hood By Air SS16 show in NYC tomorrow. The mix includes edits of Chemical Brothers, Cher, Arthur Russell, Crystal Castles, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, t.A.T.u, and Chris Clark songs, and Shayne Oliver raps towards the end. Check it out below.
Wench’s debut album will probably be out sometime next year.
