Last month we learned boyish British folk-pop superstar Ed Sheeran would be playing an “ambitious and deadly” medieval knight on The Bastard Executioner, the new FX drama from Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. Now SPIN has directed us to video evidence of this unlikely turn. In the footage below, Sheeran’s character Sir Cormac consults with an elder and then orders his henchman to gouge a prisoner’s eye out, after which the gouging commences. The poor fellow later had his arms chopped off before being killed. There’s also another scene in which Sheeran deciphers some ancient symbology.
