Chilly Gonzales Explains The Appeal Of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”

Chilly Gonzales has just shared the latest in his increasingly prolific Pop Music Masterclass video series. This one sees him deconstructing "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by way of Lana Del Rey. And though he starts off by focusing on the pop star's cover of the track that appeared on Honeymoon, he really gets into the nitty gritty of why the song has been so popular to cover over the years. (We would know -- we recently rated the best covers of the track.) He touches on the downward chord progression, "Greensleeves," Chopin, "Hit The Road Jack," and Beethoven, and ends the whole thing with a tango take on the track. Watch below.
