Prince Rama will release their new album, Xtreme Now, in March, and the story of its inception is an interesting one. The album’s central concept developed when the Larson sisters were living on a black metal utopian commune on an island off the coast of Estonia in the summer of 2012. It was there that Taraka Larson almost died inside of an ancient Viking ruin. According to a press release, this particular near-death experience (not to be confused with the time Larson was attacked by raccoons in New York’s Central Park) left Larson feeling as if she were living in both the medieval era as well as the year 2067. Xtreme Now is a result of that amnesia. We already heard the first single “Bahia” and you can listen to their latest ferocious offering, “Now Is The Time Of Emotion,” below.
Xtreme Now is out 3/4 via Carpark.
