2016 is going to be a big year for rap events, and now there's another one to get excited about: The impending release of the third album from Run The Jewels, the duo of Killer Mike and El-P. We've known for months that they've been working on the follow-up to 2014's wonderful Run The Jewels 2. And now, for the first time, they've let us hear a few seconds of it. On his Instagram, Killer Mike has posted a very short video of himself and El-P smoking blunts in the studio while nodding to a beat that sounds like an old Indonesian gamelan record being eaten by an 808. We don't have any idea when RTJ3 will be out, but we do know that we should be amped for it.
