Kendrick Lamar's recent surprise album untitled unmastered. just debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving 178,000 equivalent album units (actual sales + streaming) and 142,000 units in pure album sales in its first week, Billboard reports. That gives Kendrick his second #1 album in less than a year, following last March's To Pimp A Butterfly. Kendrick is now the third artist since January 2015 to land two #1s in less than twelve months, after Drake (with If You're Reading This It's Too Late and What A Time To Be Alive) and Future (with DS2, What A Time To Be Alive, and Evol). Rappers have seriously been killing it in the past year.
