"Kiss It Better" is my favorite song on Rihanna's ANTI, and apparently it's Josh Tillman's favorite too. As Spin points out, the artist best known as Father John Misty covered the smoldering '80s rock ballad on stage in Santa Ana last night, just hours after Rih herself performed it in Brooklyn and hours before its official video is scheduled to drop. (UPDATE: Here's the video.) Given Tillman's previous comments about pop music, it's unclear how genuinely he appreciates this one, and honestly it's not his finest vocal performance. But for the sheer spectacle of it, you must watch.
