Whitney are a sunny, retro-minded folk-rock outfit from guitarist Max Kakacek and singer/drummer Julien Erlich, born from the ashes of Smith Westerns. Their jangly, tender-hearted debut Light Upon The Lake is coming out next week, and they've already shared early tracks "No Woman" and "Golden Days." New track "No Matter Where We Go" is the best of the bunch, a supremely warm and appealing rocker that comes accompanied by a video featuring simple scenes of domestic bliss.
