The last two Destroyer albums have been immersive experiences of yacht rock and baroque pop, and both were unquestionably excellent. Yet it seems Dan Bejar is dialing down his sound a bit for his next project and has announced a solo tour that will feature no more than him and his guitar for an evening of predominantly new material. According to the press release: "Think fewer jazz sax-soaked orchestral ballads and more troubadourial fare with guitar and vintage Japanese pedals. Fans will be treated to an exclusive preview of at least ten new guitar-based tracks and some really excellent hair." This seems like the precursor to a new Destroyer album, and it's exciting to hear he's exploring a new sound. Check out the tour dates below.
