PJ Harvey Will Compose The Score For The Play The Nest

PJ Harvey will compose the score to a new production of German playwright Franz Xaver Kroetz's The Nest, as announced on her website (via Pitchfork). The score will be recorded in collaboration with James Johnston in London, and the play will premiere at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast and run there from 10/1-10/22 before moving to London's Young Mic's Maria Theatre from 10/28-11/26. The production will be directed by Ian Rickson, who Harvey has worked with on productions of Hedda Gabler, Hamlet, and Electra.

PJ Harvey released a new album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, earlier this year.
