Veteran Omaha synth-punks the Faint -- my favorite band in the world for a few months in 2001 -- are about to release the career-spanning collection Capsule 1999-2016. The album digs deep into the band's peak-era music, but it also features some more recent stuff, including the brand-new "Skylab1979" and "Young And Realistic," a single that they released earlier this year. The Faint frontman Todd Fink, along with Nick Fackler, co-directed the experimental video for "Young And Realistic," which is built from nightmarish film-loops of otherwise mundane images. There's no narrative thread to it, but it unfolds according to its own logic. Check it out below.
