Meek Mill & Pusha T – “Black Moses” (Feat. Priscilla Renea)

The Birth Of A Nation hits theaters next week. It's Nate Parker's "reclaiming" of the 1915 film Birth Of A Nation, which depicts a slave revolt led by Nat Turner in the antebellum South. Obviously it tackles a grave subject, and fittingly the star-studded soundtrack (featuring Nas, Killer Mike, Vic Mensa, Leon Bridges, The Game, 2 Chainz, and many others) does the same. Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane linked earlier today for the somber "Oh Lord," and now Meek Mill and Pusha T have collaborated on "Black Moses" featuring Priscilla Renea. Push and Meek weave vivid details of a loose slave narrative over a solemn beat driven by deep-burrowing bass. Renea comes in with a beautiful, soulful hook that echoes the pain, anguish, and yearning for freedom the two rappers express in their verses. Listen to a preview of the track below along with details on the soundtrack.
