Watch Nick Valensi’s Strokes Side Project CRX Make Their TV Debut On Kimmel

All the members of the Strokes have their own things going on, and now Nick Valensi is leading his own band called CRX. The band played their first show a couple of months ago, and Josh Homme produced their debut album New Skin, which is coming out later this month. Last night, the band made their TV debut, serving as the musical guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live and chugging through their ’70s-esque power-pop single “Ways To Fake It.” Valensi looked particularly Jordan Catalano-esque. Watch the performance below.

New Skin is out on 10/28 on Columbia. Meanwhile, Valensi gave DIY an update on what the Strokes are up to: “We are slowly but surely working on an album. I don’t know when it’s going to be released, we’re kind of just in writing sessions. We’re writing. I’m actually in New York at the moment, at a studio in New York for that.”
