The 30 Days, 30 Songs project, in which a different artist will contribute a new anti-Trump song every day until the American presidential election, has already yielded new tracks from Death Cab For Cutie, Jim James, and (most impressively) Aimee Mann. Today, Scottish postpunkers Franz Ferdinand have joined in on the fun. The members of Franz Ferdinand presumably cannot vote in an American election, but they can record a song like “Demagogue,” a jerky stomp that calls out Donald Trump as a dangerous figure. It’s the first song Franz Ferdinand have released since the departure of guitarist Nick McCarthy, and you can hear it below, via Pitchfork.
