Last week, the veteran singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega returned with Lover, Beloved: Songs From An Evening With Carson McCullers, an album composed entirely of songs that she wrote for her off-Broadway play about her love for the writer Carson McCullers. Today, she's made a video for its gentle, lilting single "We Of Me." Directed by Chuck Moore, the video consists almost entirely of glossy shots of Vega on a soundstage somewhere, which means it relies entirely on Vega's charisma to make it watchable. Thankfully, that charisma is undimmed. Watch it below.
