Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers theater in NYC last night, and when the rest of the audience figured out he was there, there was a lot of booing. After the show ended, cast member Brandon Victor Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr, addressed Pence directly with remarks written by the musical's creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. "We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir," he said. "But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us."

Proud of @HamiltonMusical. Proud of @BrandonVDixon, for leading with love.
And proud to remind you that ALL are welcome at the theater.

Unfortunately, it seems that Pence left the theater a little early, so he didn't catch the whole thing. And even though Dixon thanked Pence for attending and told the audience not to boo him, Donald Trump isn't happy about the whole incident, claiming that Pence was "harassed" by the cast of Hamilton and demanding an apology.

Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!

The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Very rude and insulting of Hamilton cast member to treat our great future V.P. Mike Pence to a theater lecture.Couldn't even memorize lines!
