The phrase "Wastin' away in Margaritaville" just got a little more depressing! ABC News reports that Jimmy Buffett is partnering with Minto Communities, a development and building company in Florida, to open a chain of Margaritaville-themed senior-living communities. The first, Latitude Margaritaville in Daytona Beach, is expected to have its first residents by late summer 2018. "It's going to be a very fun place," says Bill Bullock, senior vice president of Minto Communities. The $1 billion project will create 7000 2- or 3-bedroom homes for seniors aged "55 and better" in "the very low $200,000s to 350,000," boasting fitness facilities, lap pools, spas, live entertainment, personal beachfront access, and, well, margaritas.
