Sam Shepherd -- the producer, composer, and DJ behind the moniker Floating Points -- spent some time with his band in the Mojave Desert last summer, where he composed a new piece called Reflections -- Mojave Desert. Shepherd shared the first bit of music with NPR today, which comes with a video. "Silurian Blue" is an entrancing bit of experimental music; check it out below.
