Lil Uzi Vert – “The Way Life Goes (Remix)” (Feat. Nicki Minaj)
Back in August, Nicki Minaj posted an Instagram video of herself singing along with “The Way Life Goes,” a sing-songy and emotive deep cut from newly minted rap star Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2 album. As the video’s caption, she wrote: “ummm Uzi better make this a single, send me the beat, and quit playin.” Uzi paid attention. A remix of “The Way Life Goes,” with Nicki all over it, is now a single. And Nicki makes the song a whole lot better, building on its melodies and adding her own sighed ad-libs to Uzi’s hooks. I’d say she fits on this song a lot more naturally than she did on her last big guest appearance, last week’s Migos single “Motor Sport.” Listen to the remix and check out Nicki’s original Instagram below.
