Although their members have pursued other projects in the interim, it's been six years since Holy Fuck's last album Deleter. Today they've announced its follow up, Event Beat, which arrives in March. The lead single "Evie" is out now.
After spending two years completely apart, the members of Holy Fuck reconvened in 2022 and made the majority of the album inside a rural Nova Scotia village hall. The band says a sense of momentum "towards something that is beyond personal control, either at the mercy of some bigger system or some unspoken will" is a major motif of Event Beat, and you get a sense of that on "Evie," which locks in to a steady rock groove.
