The power of K-Pop cannot be overstated. No one could've predicted the wild success of "Golden" from Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters, which just won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes. It was also just performed by Japanese and South Korean leaders on drums at the end of a summit to discuss strategic cooperation amid the volatile geopolitical climate.
Yesterday Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who is a former heavy metal drummer, and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung bashed out both "Golden" and BTS' 2020 hit "Dynamite" following a two-day bilateral summit in Nara, Japan. "The president learned to play the drums in just five, 10 minutes," Takaichi, who is known for her right-wing views, complimented.
On Twitter, Myung wrote, "Just as we respected each other's differences and found our rhythm together, I hope that Korea and Japan, too, can deepen their cooperation and take steps closer to each other."

처음엔 조금 어색했지만, 두드릴수록 소리는 하나로 모였습니다.
드럼 연주는 오래전부터 품어온 로망이었기에, 세심하게 배려해 주신 총리님의 마음이 더욱 감사했던 시간입니다.
