This year's Grammy Awards, which went down on Sunday night, included an extremely long in memoriam segment with a ton of different artists paying tribute to late legends like Ozzy Osbourne, D'Angelo, and Roberta Flack. The people who put together these montages always neglect a few important figures. This year, they really fucked up when they left out a big one: Brent Hinds from Mastodon.

Last August, the former Mastodon singer and guitarist Brent Hinds died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 51. The fact that Hinds didn't appear in the in memoriam segment is honestly weird. Mastodon were nominated for six Grammys, and they won Best Metal Performance for "Sultan's Curse" in 2018. Also, they had Post Malone up there singing "War Pigs"; it would've made a lot of sense to put Hinds' face up onscreen in that moment. How do you fuck that up?

Lots of people noticed Hinds omission and got pissed off about it, and one of those people was Alice In Chains' Mike Inez.
