Meet Sloome, an upbeat shoegaze crew based in Modesto, California. Originally the solo project of vocalist G Curtis Walls, Sloome has expanded into a full band with additional members Miles Ishmael, Max Basso, Gaius Geranio, and Cyrus Vandenberghe (who also plays in Welcome Strawberry). Today, they announce their third album Blue Fire Doom.
Blue Fire Doom was recorded, mixed, and mastered in Atomic Garden Recording Studio by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor). If you like the dreamy, bombastic stylings of our 2023 Band To Watch Wishy, you will probably enjoy Sloome, especially their new single "Raw Power" out today. Like Cocteau Twins on steroids, it's a real riot, and so is the video. Watch below.
