The Callous Daoboys' new single "Gigantic Parasite Tongue" dropped yesterday, and it's just as fucking bonkers as the title suggests. It lives many lives within only a little over four minutes, and it's their first new music since last year's I Don't Want To See You In Heaven.
At first, the song is corrosive, like something or someone being dipped into acid. Carson Pace's vocals tear at the leftover flesh. Guitars and drums pummel the bones. There's electronic glitches and a baroque synth melody that signals a drastic change. Pace's voice turns soft, vulnerable. Amber Christman's violin is a shoulder to weep on. Soon, things ramp up again into what sounds like a devastating climax. That's not even the end of it. In the song's final minute, the Callous Daoboys rage like a zombie seeking its revenge.
The Sam Hahn-directed visual for the single is fucking sick as well. An angel is kidnapped and his wings are stolen. It finishes in a grizzly transformation. Watch it below.
