Porches Announces New Mixtape MASK: Hear “Habit”

Aaron Maine is back with more Porches. Maine co-wrote and co-produced "Jeep," the Kim Petras single that came out earlier this week. Today, he announces a new Porches mixtape called MASK, out next week. The announcement comes with the new single "Habit" and a visual by Rebekah Campbell. Also, the album art for MASK is by famed NYC-based photographer Ryan McGinley.

"Habit" is a hungover rock song. There are big drum stomps and rambling guitar. It sounds strikingly ragged. Maine shared how the unpolished project came about:

I recorded ‘MASK’ on my four-track last spring (2025) in the basement on Wooster Street in New York City. I mixed it straight off the tape machine. I was inspired by how impossible it is to really edit anything on the four-track, and I feel like a special spirit was captured in these recordings by embracing their imperfections. I wanted to share them in their rawest form to keep that energy I felt intact.

Check out the video for "Habit" below.
