Underscores Calls Out “Misogynistic” Houston Venue Meow Wolf For Limiting Her Production

Underscores has been making waves this year, releasing the much-hyped album U and starting raves from the back of a U-Haul. Last night the up-and-coming hyperpop star called out the Houston venue Meow Wolf, saying they were limiting her production and being misogynistic.

On her Instagram Story, she wrote:

full disclosure
we won't have full production tonight as the venue can't accommodate it
they've honestly been very difficult to work with and have either been rude misogynistic to my team or just don't know what's going on
still doing the show as planned but wanted to apologise in advance
i'll make sure to come back to Houston next time with full production

Afterward, she added:

i wanna clarify tho
the general venue staff have ultimately been very nice, accommodating, and oriented toward solutions
these problems are coming primarily from upper management
i don't think i need to say this but pls dont take anything out on the staff working tn
taking both these stories down lets have a good time

However, the trouble did not end there. It appears that the fire alarm went off during the gig, causing her to post the following:

we're waiting for all clear from fire dept
standby until then we're gonna do the show still hang tight
fml im so sorry yall

The gig seemed to be a success otherwise, with fans proclaiming that they survived the 2026 Underscores Houston show.
