Although he endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2020, saying, "I don’t care Trump doesn’t like Black people," and has long fraternized with both sides of the political aisle, 50 Cent has previously refused opportunities to perform at MAGA events. In late 2024 he told The Breakfast Club that he turned down $3 million to play Trump’s pre-election rally at MSG that happened a few days earlier. He also said he turned down money to play the Republican National Convention that July. But he also congratulated Trump on Instagram after he won the election.
Now it seems the rapper and entrepreneur has found a MAGA party that suits him. This Friday, on the eve of the United States' 250th anniversary, you'll find 50 in the club: specifically the Executive Branch, Donald Trump Jr.'s new members-only establishment, the Daily Beast reports. Executive Branch opened a year ago in Washington, DC's Georgetown Park, with Trump, Jr. as one of its founders. Entrance fees are reportedly $500,000 plus yearly dues.
Among other events, the venue has played host to a string of veteran rap stars. Busta Rhymes, who has criticized President Trump before but has largely stayed silent on politics, played the Christmas party Trump Jr. hosted there on Dec. 11. Nelly performed there in April, which makes sense. Nelly has not said he is pro-Trump, but played one of Trump's inaugural balls last year and is currently booked for the MAGA-adjacent Rock The Country fest in Hamburg, NY in September with Kid Rock and Gavin Adcock.
50 Cent's upcoming Executive Branch performance is not exactly shocking either. Besides his warm feelings toward Trump, he is (like Trump) a famous troll who courts backlash. He also famously loves money, so.
